Bournemouth Modern Jazz Club is the Bournemouth/Poole conurbation's premier club promoting the most exciting, cutting-edge jazz and related musics from across the UK. An independent, non-profit making society, our mission is to promote the finest contemporary music in a relaxed, informal setting. Established in 2004, past gigs have included GrupoX, Dave O'Higgins Quintet, Geoff Eales Trio, Robin Jones' Latin Jazz Sextet, Ian Shaw, Liane Carroll, Ben Castle, Jean Toussaint, Tina May Quartet, Anita Wardell Quartet, Atlantico, Martin Shaw, Karen Sharp Quartet, Simon Spillett, AMBULANCE, Soothsayers, Jason Rebello Trio and many more...
Bournemouth Jazz re-launches in October 2010 in partnership with Lighthouse, Poole and Swanage Jazz in the Studio at Lighthouse. Our friends at Sound Cellar in Poole are already up and running at the Blue Boar in central Poole.
